'Teen Mom': Jenelle Evans Hints at Collaboration with TLC

Jenelle Evans hasn’t been on television in a while. Since she left Teen Mom 2 in 2019, people have been wondering what’s next for Evans, who spent most of her adult life on television. Now, the star is hinting at a new project in the works.

Why did Jenelle Evans get fired from ‘Teen Mom’?

Evans’ husband David Eason was fired from the show in 2018 for a number of homophobic comments. Even though Eason was no longer on the show, he continued to be problematic. Later, he shot the family’s dog in front of Evans’ children.

“It was a situation where my daughter, her health, her safety was in danger,” Eason told PeopleTV’s People Now of the incident.

“This was something that nobody wants to ever have to do. The dog was aggressive. Yes, she might not be huge or whatever, but you know when a dog bites a child on the face more than one time, then it should never be around the child again. If you give the dog up for adoption, one day it’s going to be around children again.”

He also addressed the incident in his and Evans’ new YouTube video series I Have Something to Say.

“She was a loving dog to me, but she was not loving toward our kids at all,” Eason said. “I loved the dog, the kids loved it. But she didn’t love the kids. Anytime we were taking a video of the kids riding their bikes, playing outside, we’d have to delete the video, not even be able to post it because she didn’t play nice. She would bite their feet, she would bite the wheels on her bicycle. She wasn’t always vicious, but she had a lot of vicious tendencies. She really was kinda mean. We put up with it for a long time.”

After the incident, MTV stopped working with Evans as well.

Is Jenelle working on something with TLC?

When Evans briefly split up from Eason, people wondered if the reality star would make her way back to Teen Mom. Up until now, that has not happened.

But she has hinted to having some potential projects in the works.

“I have no idea about Teen Mom and I have no idea about my own show, but I know I’ve been in talks with certain people here or there,” she recently said in a YouTube video. “Not saying it’s MTV or who it is but we’ll see if something works out in the future. I don’t know.”

Lately, Evans has been involved in a Twitter feud with blogger Katie Joy, who has been reviewing Evans’ videos on YouTube, and apparently, Evans has enlisted some people from TLC to help her take Joy down.

“I will keep reporting your videos until they are taken down,” Evans tweeted. “My videos on @YouTube are licensed by a company and are going to appear on TV very soon. I’ll sit here all day and do it. Have cast members helping me as well from TLC.”

Could Evans possibly have made these contacts with TLC while working on her own project? Is TLC getting involved because the videos will air on the network? The reality star did not elaborate, but if Evans does have something in the works, we will see soon enough.
