This Morning’s Dr Zoe Williams, 41, has revealed her thoughts on Hollywood actor Will Smith’s social media posts, sharing his lockdown weight gain followed by his swift progress. The medical professional suggested that in her opinion, the star’s weight loss announcement had an “air of suspicion” surrounding it and that it may be fuelled by a collaboration.
There is an air of suspicion for me

In a recent post to Instagram the actor revealed his weight gain to his 53.5 million fans, while vowing to lose the weight.
Posing in nothing but a pair of black shorts, he wrote: “This is the body that carried me through an entire pandemic and countless days grazing thru the pantry.”(sic)
The short clip showed the actor proudly displaying his bigger frame as a result of eating too many “midnight muffins” during lockdown.
Will continued: “I love this body, but I wanna FEEL better. No more midnight muffins…this is it!”
The actor ended the post by vowing to return to his formerly fit frame.
He wrote: “Imma get in the BEST SHAPE OF MY LIFE!!!!!
“Teaming up with @YouTube to get my health & wellness back on track. Hope it works!”(sic) he added.
However, while This Morning’s resident doctor applauded his dedication to later returning to his former health, Dr Zoe said she thought that Will’s announcement may have been a way of kicking off a career as a fitness influencer.
Speaking about the announcement, she said to The Mirror: “There is an air of suspicion for me that he’s obviously doing a collaboration with YouTube.”
Zoe went on to applaud the star for motivating others with his openness surrounding his weight gain and having long-term goals.
She continued: “Whilst I think in lots of ways it’s really empowering to see that even Will Smith can one, put on a little bit of weight during lockdown and two, talk about it so openly without it being a negative or a big deal, I think that’s highly motivating and inspiring for many people who are probably in a similar situation.
“And he’s looking at a long term plan, he’s trying to lose weight gradually and get fitter and healthier.”
Dr Zoe went on to praise the actor for using his fame to encourage others to get healthier.
She continued to wonder whether the award-winning actor was looking towards experimenting with a new carer.
“Is he going to go into being a fitness influencer and this is how he’s kicking it all off?” the This Morning star added.
The medical professional went on to praise the I,Robot actor for “owning” his fuller frame.
She explained that she didn’t think it was a “big disaster” if people have gained weight over the last year considering that there has been a global pandemic.
Dr Zoe continued to say that while it’s important to be a healthy weight, we’ve also been facing other stress factors including financial strains and mental health problems.
She went on to say that your quality of sleep, diet and exercise can all have an affect on your weight.
