Vicky Pattison’s best friend passes away suddenly aged 37… as Geordie Shore stars lead heartbreaking tributes to the ‘beautiful human being’

Vicky Pattison’s best friend Paul Burns has passed away suddenly aged 37. 

The devastating news spread on social media on Sunday with the stars of Geordie Shore, including Charlotte Crosby and Kyle Christie, paying homage to the nightclub and events manager, as he was dubbed ‘a beautiful human being’. 

While Vicky is yet to comment on the tragedy, with her social media remaining untouched for nearly two days, others have spoken out as they voiced their heartbreak at the shocking news.

Vicky’s Instagram has often been littered with snaps of Paul, and vice versa, and on Friday she took to the photosharing site to post an image as she celebrated Paul’s birthday, while adding a sweet caption in tribute to her pal.

She penned: ‘Celebrating this amazing ones birthday a little bit late but oh so well with the help of @dessertsdeliveredbakery!! This Nutella cake literally blew everyone away!! THANKYOU so much!! @mrpaulburns1- love you forever’. 

Hours later, news surfaced revealing he had died, as Charlotte took to Twitter to write: ‘Today has just felt awful. Really really awful. This is just not right… RIP PB.’

She also took to Instagram to share a collage of images with Paul, while adding the touching caption: ‘Words cannot describe the pain this weekend has brought It still doesn’t feel real. I don’t want it to be real.

Her former co-star Kyle, shared a snap with Paul with the caption: ‘I’ll always remember my first night out in town where you took me under your wing and made sure I was well looked after in night life trade that was 10 years ago.

‘Heaven has definitely got one hell of a vip up there with you sorting it out love you brother till we meet again!’

Vicky’s sister Laura Pattison shared a screenshot of her WhatsApp conversation with Paul from last month, in which he penned ‘I love you more’.

She added the caption: ‘No darling I love you more.. I can’t cope RIP my best friend paul life will never ever be the same without you. 

‘Writing these words is making me sick I will never ever cope the same without you. Love you forever rest in peace my gorgeous best friend. Thank god I got to see you last night’. 

The general manager of his work place, The Botanist, where he was pictured with Vicky on Friday, released a statement reading: ‘To do great things you have to be a great man, and this was Paul. He worked with a smile…

‘A style that was infectious and passionate. He was Mr Newcastle no doubt, but he was also Mr Botanist. Also loyal and committed, Newcastle Botanist would not be where it is today without this amazing man’s talent and support.

‘Paul genuinely touched the hearts of everyone he worked with and loved, and his huge personality and infectious smile will live on in all of us forever. The city has lost a true gent, one that will never be replaced.’

A statement from Newcastle nightspot, Bonbar read: ‘Everyone at Bonbar is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our old front of house team member Paul Burns.

‘One of the nicest people to ever work for us and never went anywhere without the big grin on his face. You will be truly missed by everyone in Newcastle. RIP’.

Other Twitter users to wrote on the site: ‘Spend life with those who make you happy, not who you have to impress’… Paul Burns… Absolutely gutted to hear the sad news, another wonderful person taken far too soon!

A representative for Vicky declined to comment when approached by MailOnline. The cause of death is unknown at time of publication.
