Watch The Rock Laugh in the Face of Gravity in New 'Skyscraper' Trailer
“This is stupid,” The Rock says — very accurately, I might add — before climbing out the window of a burning high-rise in the latest trailer for Skyscraper.
The third and final trailer for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s latest blockbuster just dropped, and once again, prepare to see the guy throw back his head and laugh in the face of gravity.
The movie follows a U.S. veteran and skyscraper security expert — played by The Rock — as he attempts to save his family from a massive blaze in the world’s tallest building. If there’s one thing I’ve taken away from the promotional material for this movie, it’s that everything I thought I knew about physics is actually a lie.
In the opening sequence of the latest trailer, we see The Rock wrapping himself in rope and using some ornate cylindrical object that just a hair’s width wider than the window as an anchor. I don’t know about you, but I feel like that thing is one good wind gust away from sliding out of place:
Once he’s out of the window, what follows is essentially the most intense American Ninja Warrior episode I’ve ever seen. Check out the trailer for yourself and watch as The Rock maneuvers his way through a flaming turbine of death to save the day.
Skyscraper hits theaters July 13.
