Aldi to sell a giant ‘Ferrero Rocher’ dessert this Christmas

Aldi is launching a very exciting dessert this Christmas.

The supermarket unveiled its giant Ferrero Rocher-inspired pud, which is bound to fly off shelves this December.

With its milk chocolate and hazelnut mousse centre and hard choccy shell, it tastes just like the popular chocolates.

The pudding has a little twist to it too – it contains milk chocolate feuilletine and a cocoa sponge cake.

We know what you’re thinking, Christmas is ages away.

But thankfully, we don’t have to wait too long to get our hands on the dessert.

According to the Gorcer, The Specially Selected Chocolate & Praline Dome will be available from October 26.

It will join other tasty treats, including another new pud called the Chocolate & Salted Caramel Layered Bar.

Aldi hopes its festive range will bring a smile to everyone’s face – even if coronavirus puts a halt to festive plans.

A supermarket spokesperson said: "No one knows exactly how the situation will have changed by December but one thing we're sure of is that Christmas won't be cancelled.

"What we're going through now and have been through, means people are going to be even more focused on celebrating with their household, sharing food and drink and gifts with their families, and that's where Aldi comes in."

Previously, Boris Johnson shared hopes that Britain will “return to normality” by Christmas as coronavirus restrictions ease.

The PM said: “It is my strong and sincere hope that we will be able to review the outstanding restrictions and allow a more significant return to normality from November, at the earliest, possibly in time for Christmas.”

However, the plan "remains conditional" on the UK pulling together to win its "long fight" against Covid-19.
