Clever 29p cleaning hack restores rusty iron and makes it look brand new
It's annoying when you find your iron has gone all rusty.
The good news is that there are so many cleaning hacks to restore your appliance to make it look brand new.
One handy trick costs as little as 29p – or even cheaper – if you know where to buy your paracetamol from…
Recently a woman shared the hack on Facebook in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group.
She said: "A 29p pack of paracetamol saved me from buying a new iron.
"I read somewhere that a paracetamol rubbed onto the iron will make it almost like new again."
So if you're in the same boat as the Facebook user, you can do the same.
According to Express.co.uk, you'll need a number of materials to do the job, including the painkiller, tweezers and clean cloth.
Before picking up a paracetamol tablet using the tweezers, start by heating the iron so it's very hot.
Then rub the tablet so the rusty parts come off the iron and it starts to look cleaner.

Just be careful when you're using the tweezers and wiping the iron clean as it might be really hot.
