Carmar is popular from being sold at LF stores and the store posted a photo of the model wearing the pants with the caption: ‘For those who dare to bare.’
After posting the photo, the official LF Instagram account was flooded with comments from people bashing the pants and the expensive price.
‘Wow! What’s the point of wearing pants?’ one person questioned while another exclaimed: ‘I would never pay money for jeans like this!’
Another person hilariously wrote, ‘At least they have pockets!’ to which someone replied, ‘If only those pockets included jeans.’
‘Airport security inspections should be super easy,’ one hilarious comment read while someone else suggested: ‘Change title to – “Bum looking for rich man.”‘
‘Just picking up the scraps from the denim factories and selling them for one hundred times their original worth. Gotta pair these with Kanye’s line to get the full “apocalypse survivor” look. Smh,’ a very frustrated user wrote.
One comment that most people kept writing because they were completely stunned was, ‘This has to be a joke.’
In one hysterical reply, a very aggravated user wrote: ‘Absolutely dumb. Stupid looking. This is Blac Chyna s**t, Kartrashian crap. This is the silliest looking outfit I have ever seen. This model must’ve needed some fast cash = stylish? LOL.’
Pay less: One user joked about the price of the pants saying it’s crazy that you have to pay more money for less fabric
Beach pants: This person joked that the pants are so see-through they could be worn to the beach
Fashion: One woman joked that if this is fashion now then she’s leaving the earth
Pockets: Another hilarious comment came from this woman who said pockets are expensive because that’s the only fabric on the pants
Meanwhile one woman had enough of all the latest bizarre fashion trends as she posted: ‘Seriously, this is the dumbest god damn thing I’ve ever heard of. If this is not a hoax, and people are actually buying these things, they need to be stopped from wasting money on a piece of invisible clothing.’
Despite most of the comments joking about the crazy pants, other people couldn’t help but ask why they couldn’t just make the pants themselves.
‘Can’t I just go to Goodwill and buy a pair of old jeans for $5 and do the same thing? Not that I’d want to, but still…,’ wrote one user.
‘Inspired by the leg braces of Forrest Gump,’ one person joked while another asked a very valid question: ‘Like at this point… why don’t you just buy shorts?’
There were many people who were actually quite offended by the see-through pants and one woman even wrote: ‘Um. Good thing they have a zipper and a button at the crotch otherwise she’d be over exposed.’
‘I have an even better name!’ wrote one guy. ‘It’s called “paying a fortune to embarrass yourself in public.”‘
Allergic: This user joked that the jeans are perfect for those who are allergic to denim
Trousers: This guy is so appalled by the jeans he said they’re basically an anatomy lesson because you can see every part of the legs
Not jeans: This user said these pants should not be marketed as jeans because they’re just pockets and ankle cuffs
DIY: Another woman said why spend over $100 on the pants when you can just make them for free on your own
‘This is the most embarrassing “clothing item” I’ve ever seen. How desperate does one have to be to wear something like that?’ a very disgruntled person wrote.
One person simply wrote, ‘These are absolute garbage and overpriced at that,’ while someone else said: ‘This whole outfit should be thrown out.’
‘Pay more for less, in the name of fashion. I’m sure there are idiots out there that will pay for these lol,’ someone wrote and that person is absolutely right because the pants are already sold out within days of launching and there is a waitlist to get your hands on a pair.
This is certainly not the first time an insane denim trend has taken over and just recently the Instagram famous brand, Fashion Nova released a pair of jeans completely made out of string.
Meanwhile, just a month ago, Pretty Little Thing released a pair of denim shorts with basically no fabric and they were just a thong.
