YouTube sensation Dr. Pimple Popper is taking on the largest cyst she has ever seen on her new TLC series — and the footage is not for the faint of heart.
The dermatologist, whose real name is Sandra Lee, earned online fame after she started sharing videos of herself extracting everything from blackheads to tumors on her YouTube channel, which has more than 3.7 million subscribers.
The doctor first made her foray into television with her TLC special Dr. Pimple Popper: This Zit, which aired earlier this year, and her new series features all the cringeworthy squeezes and pops her fans have come to expect from her.

In a preview clip for the six-episode season, which premieres on July 11, Dr. Lee meets a man who has the largest cyst she has ever seen.
‘It’s so painful. I just have to scream my lungs out,’ he says of the massive growth located above his knee. ‘It’s taken over my life.’
The graphic clip shows the man writhing in pain as Dr. Lee slices open the growth and sticks her gloved finger in it.
‘I think you’ve got the world’s biggest cyst,’ she tells him, prompting him to ask: ‘Is it too late to back out of this?’

Creamy white fluid is later seen flowing out of the man’s open cyst, and Dr. Lee is quick to note: ‘That is a lot of cyst.’
In addition to popping cysts, the doctor will be treating her patients abnormal lumps, protruding veins, and tumors.
Although the footage may be gory to some (and memorizing to others), Dr. Lee says the show ‘provides a complete window’ into her world as a dermatologist and allows viewers to go on a ‘journey’ with her patients.
‘You meet the patients in their hometown and see how their skin condition affects their life and the people around them,’ she explains.

‘You understand how devastating their condition really is, how it affects their everyday life, and how they interact with others and the world.
‘I evaluate every patient and decide on a treatment course to help their skin conditions — and afterward, we see how we have really transformed their lives.’
One woman who has pustules on her stomach admits that it ‘smells like rotten trash,’ and even her parents are appalled by them.
‘I’ve seen them and I could not stomach it myself,’ her mom tells her.
‘Nobody completely understands. They don’t,’ the woman laments. By the time she gets to Dr. Lee’s office, she’s close to tears.

‘The difference between my YouTube series and this show is that with the show, you see the doctor-patient interaction and the patients’ backstory — how they dealt with their skin condition on a daily basis before coming to see me,’ Dr. Lee told Refinery29.
‘You’re able to see how drastically their lives are changed [and] it’s gratifying,’ she added.
‘It makes me so happy that this series was able to be produced because it’s truly helping people.’
