I always go back to having sex with my lover even though he's a nasty piece of work
I am a 37-year-old single mum and my son is ten. I became friends with this man four years ago when my partner left me and he was very understanding.
He said he wanted sex with me but he’s not into having a relationship. I refused but he persisted and eventually we started having sex together.
I always suspected there were other women. When I asked him he said: “I can’t help what I do when I am drunk.” We split up after I discovered he’d had sex with a girl I know but he got in touch after a couple of weeks and we have been sleeping together again.
Am I being a fool to give it another go?
DEIDRE SAYS: It’s clear he doesn’t want to have a relationship – you deserve better.
If you keep him as your FWB when you want more, you will be giving your son a bad example of adult relationships.
I understand the temptation but it stops you finding someone who will give you love and respect as well as sex.
