I haven't seen my boyfriend in months and now I'm questioning my feelings for him

DEAR DEIDRE: BECAUSE of my mum shielding, I haven’t seen my boyfriend properly for months and now I’m questioning my feelings for him.

We’re both 17 and have been in a relationship for 18 months. We were at school together but are now at different sixth-form colleges.

I’ve had my happiest times with him but everything’s so different now.

We used to stay round one another’s houses and now we can’t, especially with my mum’s heath problems. We’ve been for some walks, coffees and to the shops, but it’s not the same and feels pointless

DEIDRE SAYS: It is unusual to meet someone who is right for you long-term when you are still in your teens.

But this pandemic has squeezed much of the joy out of life.

Vaccination is on the horizon so maybe put your questions about your relationship on hold for now.

See how you feel about him when you have had a chance to meet properly again. My e-leaflet Learning About Relationships can help.
