I think I’ve fallen in love with my ex – should I leave my girlfriend? – The Sun

DEAR DEIDRE: I HAVE totally fallen back in love with the girl I went out with ten years ago.

I have a girlfriend and a son of three but I haven’t felt close to her for ages and we’ve been arguing a lot.

My ex has a partner and a son, too, and we’ve always been friends on Facebook.

I messaged her one night when I’d drunk too much and we have been chatting since.

She keeps giving hints that, if we meet, we can do stuff together. I can’t get her off my mind. She has only ever been with me and the man she lives with now.

We are both 30 and my girlfriend is 29. I’m beginning to feel I should not stay in my relationship.

DEIDRE SAYS: You have to give your present relationship your best shot, for your son’s sake.

Holding on to a romance that you had ten years ago is unrealistic. You’re different people now. Chatting to her is an ego boost but is not real life.
