I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! is just a matter of days away now, and we’ve finally got a peek inside the brand new location.

The famed Australian jungle has this year been swapped for the mysterious Gwyrch Castle in Wales, where a star-studded lineup will head to battle it out for the king or queen title.

And if the first look inside is anything to go by, the series is going to make you grimace just as much as the Australian version.

The jungle shower has been replaced with a watering can over a rusting bath, setting the tone for the rest of the dilapidated and run-down interiors.

Elsewhere, there’s a camp fire for the celebrities to sit around and cook on but instead of lush jungle surroundings they’ll be sat amongst rubble and stone.

A dumb waiter will be wheeled in for the contestants to enjoy their food, if they win their meals that is, as opposed to the usual food package being dropped from the treetops.

You’ll also notice that there ruins feature smashed windows and moss and ivy is billowing out of the stone walls – a delightful setting indeed!

There’s also no heating so they’ll need thermals to sleep in, and contestants will be guided to trials by fire lanterns on the walls.

The Game of Thrones-esque location was impressively transformed in just 10 weeks after the location had to be reconsidered amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Executive producer Tom Gould told the Mirror : “We want to retain what I'm A Celebrity is but wanting to draw on the castle and the setting to give it that unique new feel. I hope that is what we have done.

"Once we decided and committed to it, doing this has been a labour of love and a chance to reinvent but also keep the parts we know viewers know and love and recognise.”

To go to the toilet, contestants will have to make sure the ‘Castle Privvy’ is empty, which is taking place of the infamous jungle Dunny.

Discussing the shower, Tom continued: “It is not a one man job in the castle, you need your friend to pump and it comes out of a watering can. You have got a bit more privacy than you have in the jungle with a modesty screen, but not a huge amount of privacy.”

Trials will be taking place at night, with the camp expected to wake up at around two in the morning, and not rise until late morning.

“The trials are going to happen after the live show at night so the day has been flipped. The trials happen at the end of the day and whatever food they have won will be brought pretty swiftly in to camp. Trials will happen in places including the dungeons and the crypt,” Tom continued.

You can expect most of the activity to take place in the courtyard which features a boiler, the toilet, but also raised areas to sit on and chat.

The stars of the show will be collecting wood and operating a wood splitter and they have to keep the boiler full of logs to give it the right pressure to give them luke warm water.

The contestants will be collecting Castle Coins rather than Dingo Dollar, and all treats will be gifted from the Yr Hen Siop instead of the Outback Shack.

The show will be presented by iconic duo And and Dec, and you find the lineup of celebrities taking part here!
