Kate Middleton Is Currently in Panic Mode

Things have certainly been intense for the senior members of the British royal family. At the end of last year, Prince Andrew stepped down after a lifetime of royal duties, following an ill-fated interview on BBC’s News Night where he defended his 20-year relationship with late child sex-offender, Jeffrey Epstein.

With the Duke of York pushed into the background, the royals seemed to have been finding their footing once more until Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex announced they would be stepping away from heir duties as senior royals.

Though the Sussexes had been candid about the toll of the constant bullying and harassment Markle had on their mental well-being, people were still shocked and appalled following their decision to step back. Now, the remaining senior royals are scrambling to figure out how to proceed.

“After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution. We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen. It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment. We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages. This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity. We look forward to sharing the full details of this exciting next step in due course, as we continue to collaborate with Her Majesty The Queen, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge and all relevant parties. Until then, please accept our deepest thanks for your continued support.” – The Duke and Duchess of Sussex For more information, please visit sussexroyal.com (link in bio) Image © PA

Prince William is still trying to find his footing following Megxit

Prince William has a singular vision for the royal family moving forward, especially leading into the years when he takes the throne. He hopes that the royal family holds on to its traditions while becoming wholly modern. The Duke of Cambridge had hoped his younger, more charismatic brother would be by his side as his “secret weapon.” However, since that isn’t happening he’s had to restrategize.

“I think the severity of what’s happened has had a huge impact on his brother, on his sister-in-law,” expert Katie Nicholl explained. “Both of them are still reeling from the news, coming to terms with the reality of this situation.”

Still, that hasn’t stopped the prince and his father, Prince Charles from reaching out to the Sussexes. An insider explained to Express, “Charles and William have grown very concerned about Harry and Meghan’s well-being and have reached out in a show of support.”

Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex may take Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s place

With so much happening, some other royals have stepped up to pick up some of the Sussexes duties.  Prince Edward is Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II’s youngest son. He and his wife, Sophie, Countess of Wessex have been praised for being a quiet and regal force n the royal family.

“Edward has molded into a quiet and efficient figure who does not seek attention or acquire headlines,” a source told Express. “He and Sophie are liked for being dutiful and uncomplaining.” They seem like the perfect fit for royal life.

However, another royal expert suggests that Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie might step in for the Sussexes. “If two go out, two have got to come in, and those two have got to be Beatrice and Eugenie,” royal biographer Robert Lacey recently told Hello! “I’m sure they will step forward and be greatly welcomed… It’s ironic that Harry mentioned his cousins as models of how he wants to be.”

Kate Middleton is in panic mode following Megxit

Kate, Duchess of Cambridge and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex have been friendly, but they never grew close. Apparently Middleton had hoped that the two would work together, but with Megxit, she’s feeling a ton of stress and panic.

“Kate’s in a panic and has been having bouts of anxiety,” an insider told US Weekly. “She barely has time to rest, and when she does try to sleep, her mind is constantly racing.” Apparently, the duchess’ schedule is also extremely hectic with 18-hour workdays.

Though she’s trying to figure out her new royal role, the duchess does want her children to be close with baby Archie.
