If lockdown has left your eyebrows looking a bit worse for wear, you’ll be pleased to know that you don’t need a trip to the salon to get perfect brows.

Just ask Lauren Pope, who took to Instagram this week to test out a DIY brow lamination kit, and shared the results with her 1.2 million followers.

The Only Way Is Essex star revealed that she had “only ever had” her brows laminated professionally before testing out the Eyebrow Queen Brow Lamination Kit, £60 here. Since it contains enough product for five treatments, and salon lamination services usually cost around £50 for one treatment, it’s a great money-saving kit.

“I bought this one because a friend of mine said it was a good one to use. It’s quite easy and simple,” Lauren says on her Instagram Story.

The Essex-born beauty decided to share the process with her fans, talking through the instructions while applying the formula to her brows.

First, Lauren uses a micro brush to apply the Step 1 Pro Lift Up Cream to her clean brows. She sweeps the product over the hairs in an upwards motion before leaving it to develop for 3-4 minutes. Thicker brows need the maximum developing time, while those with fine brow hair can get away with a shorter time.

“I think I’m meant to shape it up with this,” Lauren says.

Once developed, Lauren removes the first treatment with a cotton bud and moves onto the Step 2 Pro Lift Up cream, which needs to be applied using a spoolie brush. She leaves it on for another 3-4 minutes, before wiping off.

“I guess this one is how the hairs get set, so I’m going to try and brush them into how I like to have them,” she says.

Once the whole developing process is finished, the star shows off her flawless feathery brows to the camera. “They’re definitely looking fluffier,” she notes.

The star then moves on to the final step and uses the Conditioning Serum, to ensure her brows are nourished after the treatment.

“This serum you’re supposed to apply every night as well, I guess to keep the area nice and moisturised.”

Showing off her newly laminated brows, Lauren adds that “it’s not really a standard of when I get it done professionally but, for my first attempt, I’m quite happy.”

“Considering we can’t get to salons at the moment, I think that’s quite a good at-home substitute.”

We think she did great!
