Though she didn’t find love in the villa, Love Island star Francesca Allen dazzled viewers with her impeccable style and natural beauty.

However, you may be surprised to know that the Essex glamazon hasn’t always had clear skin – the Islander has previously admitted to suffering from acne scarring and breakouts.

The star revealed that she underwent laser and light therapy at a Harley Street clinic last year, and her skin has continued to look radiant – and we’re desperate to know how she continues to keep breakouts at bay.

Luckily for us, Francesca, 25, took to Instagram to reveal her go-to product for hiding pesky spots and scarring – without irritating the skin.

When suffering from flare-ups, the star uses the Jade Iredale Pure Pressed Base Mineral Powder, £35 here, which she claims “has been a game-changer”.

“Sometimes I do feel conscious about putting make-up on my skin when I’m not having a good day,” Francesca says, speaking to her 500k Instagram followers.

While wearing thick layers of make-up does have the potential to irritate breakouts further, the star reveals that the Jade Iredale powder is “formulated to let your skin breathe”, claiming it’s “kind, healing and calming for your skin”.

“It’s only doing good,” she adds.

With added SPF 20 in it, the product calls itself a foundation, powder, concealer and sun cream all in one – providing long-lasting coverage while aiming to minimise the appearance of pores and fine lines.

Speaking about the formula, Francesca says: “It’s not full coverage, it just gives me enough, so that when I am make-up free I can still feel quite confident to go out.”

Francesca wears the shade Warm Sienna, which is for a light-to-medium skin tone.

The star previously opened up about her struggle with acne scarring and breakouts, admitting that when she entered the villa in 2019, she was thinking: “all these girls are so beautiful and flawless, and there were guys I was trying to impress.”

But Francesca managed to fight those feelings, and said: “I wasn't gonna start sleeping in makeup. I haven't slept in makeup my whole life. I would have made it worse in the long run and I would have felt even more conscious of my face, so I owned it."
