Marks and Spencer spark debate as shoppers label new £45 dress really poor

Recently high street brand Marks and Spencer has become quite the hot topic after launching their new spring collection.

From selling a very close replica of Kate Middleton's £390 iconic pink coat for £65, to wowing with their new affordable must-have items, there's a reason why they're so many people's favourite shop.

However, after dividing shoppers with a £39 spring inspired dress that one person labelled as 'god awful', there's now another that's taken its place and caused debate.

The brand took to their social media earlier this week to share a picture of a new-in item and sadly it got some very mixed reviews from shoppers.

Marks and Spencer posted a picture of a model sporting a Nobody's Child black star print round neck midi dress.

The snap was captioned with: "The star of the show [star emoji] We’re falling head over heels for this star-print Nobody’s Child dress."

Shoppers didn't hold back sharing their unimpressed views as one said: "Who on earth approved that print, Really poor M&S."

Another added: "Note to self: check calendar that it isn't April 1st…"

This was followed with: "Wouldn’t put my granny in this!!"

However, it wasn't all negative feedback as there was also some positive comments.

One user complimented the look with: "How cute, lovely dress and beautiful bag"

Whilst other's said: "The dress is beautiful, if they take the white collar off…"

As another followed with: "Love the dress but that collar is awful"

Well lucky enough for those who like the dress, the collar isn't part of the design.

Whilst many have gone against the look, we personally love it as it makes for the perfect transitional dress for this time of year.

Style with a leather jacket and either a pair of knee high boots for a dressed up outfit or a pair of white trainers for a more dressed down look — fabulous.
