McDonald’s has delighted fans by offering some of their most popular items for just 99p today.

Early birds at the fast food chain nationwide will be able to pick up a 99p McMuffin today until 11am.

The breakfast treat usually cost £2.69, giving customers a saving of £1.70 on their order.

Those who miss out of breakfast don’t have to skip the bargain though, and can get a Quarter Pounder with Cheese for 99p.

From 11am, the 520-calorie treat will be up for grabs for less than £1.

This usually costs £3.39 – meaning customers are saving a whopping £2.40. 

The offer is available nationwide but customers will have to order via the MyMcDonald’s App meaning it’s not available on Deliveroo, Just Eat or Uber Eats.   

It comes after the US chain delighted fans by announcing the return of its McSpicy burger as part of its new summer menu.

It will be joined on the menu by other fan favourites including Grand Big Mac, Grand Big Mac with Bacon, Cheesy Garlic Bites (pictured) and Flake Raspberry & Flake Chocolate McFlurry for the limited six-week window.

The burger, which costs £4.25 is made of spicy chicken breast fillet topped with lettuce and mayo, all packed between a toasted sesame seed bun.

It has been joined on the menu by other fan favourites including Grand Big Mac, Grand Big Mac with Bacon, Cheesy Garlic Bites and Flake Raspberry & Flake Chocolate McFlurry.

The burger is a a sure-fire hit which will be music to the ears of fans across the nation who have been demanding its return to the menu. 

When it was launched last year, hundreds of fans have tweeted about it, with some saying they’ve ‘had hotter baths’ while others said ‘it was spicier than expected’.

Many compared it to the KFC Zinger burger, with one writing: ‘I liked it, very similar to a Zinger. A comfortable level of spice’.

Another wrote: ‘Couldn’t resist and was really impressed. One of McDonald’s best burgers but not too spicy for the masses.’

The chain is also bringing back the Grand Big Mac for summer.

 A regular Big Mac has two beef patties, and a special sauce with lettuce, cheese, pickles, and onions sandwiched between a three sesame seed buns.

McDonald’s Grand Big Mac contains the same ingredients, but the patties and buns are larger, and there’s an option to add bacon too. 

Fans  will also be able to tuck into Cheesy Garlic Bites for £1.99.
