My dad treats me so differently from my brother and sister

DEAR DEIDRE: IT’S upsetting how my dad treats me so differently from my older brother and sister.

We don’t row but he is kinder to them and always has been.

My team and I are working safely from home but we are here to help you as always.

I am a woman of 25 and still live with my parents.

My brother and sister are in relationships, with places of their own.

When we were little, Dad would take them to places and leave me behind.

I envied other kids I saw with their dads.

Now we’re grown up and he will help them with anything they need doing but I was having hospital tests and he wouldn’t even give me a lift.

I try not to think about it but it makes me feel sad.

Find a quiet moment to ask her why your dad seems to feel so differently towards you compared to your siblings.

Did something happen in their relationship around the time you were born?

Were you planned or did he feel two was enough?

With more information, you might be able to tell him about the hurt you feel.
