NeNe Leakes has left Bravo and she wants her fans to join her.
On Tuesday, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum tweeted a link to the “#BoycottBravo” petition, which has already been signed by over 10,000 fans.
The petition, which was posted to Change.org, stated it’s putting the network “on notice,” alleging Bravo’s “unfair and biased treatment they have displayed towards their African American talent,” Leakes, 53, and Mariah Huq of “Married to Medicine,” specifically.
“This action by Bravo network is affirmation of systemic racism and inequality that the African American community faces and struggles with currently in society,” the petition also read.
A rep for Bravo declined to comment.
Leakes, who departed “RHOA” in September, previously alleged “systemic racism” played a role in her issues with Bravo.
“We strictly talking the OG’s. I was the ONLY BLACK OG,” she tweeted in late September. “My white counter parts were elevated and given full season episodes EVERY season. Each season i was given less & less. Don’t ask me, @ Andy and @ Bravo and ask them why.”
On Monday, Leakes had called on her followers to sign the petition.
“Y’all ready to start this boycott yet? What has happened behind the scenes is WRONG! While others were being promoted, BLACK WOMEN who created shows, created genres, built franchise and built networks were being DEMOTED…TURN OFF YOUR TV’S,” Leakes tweeted.
She added, “Sign the petitions when you see them, repost the boycott flyers when you see them, turn off your TVs.”
Leakes appeared in the first seven seasons of “RHOA,” and quickly became a fan favorite. She exited the show in 2015 and returned for Season 10 two years later.
In October, she addressed her departure on the “Tamron Hall Show.”
“I can’t tell you everything that I want from them but I can tell you that I want fair treatment,” Leakes said at the time. “I deserve fair treatment. I haven’t done anything that no one else has done there, or haven’t done even worse … I don’t deserve this treatment. I’m as confused as you are.”
