Polyamorous trio’s tips for a successful marriage – including having lots of sex

A polyamorous throuple revealed how they make their unconventional relationship a strong one.

Jimmy Silva, 36, ChaCha VaVoom, 32, and Summer Peltier, 26, shared their advice on their @polyam.us Instagram page.

The American trio, who got married in a three-way ceremony last year, say having an active sex life is important.

They wrote: “A healthy checklist for poly triads:

“1. Have sex often. Correction: Have *healthy* sex often—never one sided, never selfish.

“It’s *very much* a together thing or else it won’t work the way it’s meant to.”

They also emphasised how crucial communication is – from expressing gratitude to opening up about struggles.

The trio continued: “2. Communicate, be transparent & open-talk about it with them.

“3. Never watch an episode of your show without one another. THIS IS IMPORTANT.

“4.Tell them about your feelings as you’re feeling them – don’t hold them in and let them build up.

“5. Make sure they’re always your go-to people to tell them things FIRST– good news, feelings, questions, struggles, goals– your go-to above parents, friends, etc.”

Then when it comes to arguments, it’s important to be forgiving.

ChaCha, Jimmy and Summer added: “6. When an argument is over & done, let it always be done. Don’t bring it back up against them in the future. Forgive quickly & forget quickly.

“7. It is always better to be kind & understanding than to be right.

“8. Don’t take things so seriously.

“9. Try to view them every bit as best friends —best friends on the most wild & amazing adventure.”

Finally, it’s important to celebrate each other’s quirks and enjoy quality time together.

The polyamorous trio added: “10. Express gratitude for the small things

“11. Tell each other really stupid jokes

“12. It’s great to be good FOR each other, but it is more important to be good TO each other

“13. Our feelings are not any more important or any more valid than theirs. What you’re feeling is real & valid to you, just as much as what they are feeling is real & valid to them.

“14. Make menial things together important, like grocery shopping together.

“15. Take the long way home to talk more or listen to another feel good song.

“16. Cheers your cups together before you eat.

“17. Smile at the quirks & look for the good in each other.”

The throuple’s post garnered 2,700 likes – and many appreciated their advice.

Their tips seem to be working as their relationship has gone from strength to strength recently.

Jimmy has been in a relationship with ChaCha for a decade – they met at school and started dating in their late teens.

As ChaCha is bisexual, she was open to the idea of adding another person into the relationship.

So when Summer came along, she was the perfect fit.

As a show of love to both of his girlfriends, Jimmy decided to pop the question last April.

The trio married in a lavish three-way ceremony and live-streamed the event to thousands of their followers.

And in a recent YouTube video, the American triad spoke eagerly about the prospect of children.

Jimmy admitted he wants to get both of his wives pregnant at the same time so they can go through the process together.
