Royals in uproar after BBC coverup exposed for 1995 Diana interview

Prince William has launched an unprecedented royal spray at the BBC over the way it procured and conducted an interview with his mother Princess Diana 25 years ago.

An investigation ordered by the broadcaster’s new director-general found that not only did the Panorama program effectively trick Diana into the belief she was being followed and spied on in order to get her to agree to the bombshell interview, leadership at the BBC knew and covered it up.

William and his brother Harry are understandably furious.

On this episode of Please Explain, Tory Maguire is joined by Europe correspondent Bevan Shields.
