From designer handbags to vertiginous heels, the Duchess of Sussex’s royal wardrobe has already caused countless items of clothing to fly off the rails.
And it seems the so-called Meghan Effect is not limited to fashion with shoppers flocking to emulate her natural glow.
Beauty giant Superdrug this week reports a huge sales surge in Duchess-inspired products from nail polish to concealer.
From her fresh-faced complexion to her tasteful nude nails, Superdrug has declared Meghan as the ‘number one beauty icon’ for Brits thanks to her ‘attainable’ brand of natural beauty.

Meghan is known for wearing minimal makeup shunning the popular full coverage makeup seen on stars such as Kim Kardashian.
Concealer now leads the way as the number one base product in Brits’ beauty bags, making up the top three bestselling makeup products at Superdrug with a massive 36 per cent increase in sales compared to last year.

Since being spotting wearing Essie Ballet Slippers in her official engagement photos and on her wedding day, Superdrug has seen a 57 per cent increase in sales of this polish compared to ‘pre-Meghan’.
It is thought The Queen herself has been wearing this signature shade for 28 years.

According to Meghan’s makeup artist Daniel Martin, Harry was thrilled that he had made his new wife – sporting a natural, timeless look with neutral colours – look like her ‘best self’ when they tied the knot at Windsor Castle.
