'The Bachelorette': Do Kaitlyn Bristowe and Her Ex-Fiancé Shawn Booth Get Along?

It’s been six months since former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe and her fiancé Shawn Booth called it quits, but the ex-lovers aren’t holding grudges.

Though many thought Kaitlyn found her forever in Shawn, it turns out they just weren’t meant to be and they are okay with that.

In a recent interview, Kaitlyn Bristowe opened up about her split from Shawn and shared where their relationship stands now that they have moved on with their lives.

They remain civil toward each other

After three years of being engaged, Bachelor Nation fans were shocked to learn that Kaitlyn Bristowe and her fiancé Shawn Booth officially called it quits in November 2018.

It’s been a few months since Booth ended their relationship, but Bristowe isn’t holding a grudge toward him.

Though the former couple hasn’t been in contact since their split, Kaitlyn is confident she would still speak to him if they ran into each other one day.

“If I ran into him on the street I would say, ‘Hey, how’s it going?’ It’s not like there’s any hate there, but … we don’t talk or anything,” Bristowe shared with Us Weekly.

Kaitlyn also revealed that nothing between her and Booth was left unresolved, so there is really no reason for them to be in contact today.

“No, not really. I mean, like I said, we can be civil, but we’re also not talking, so that’s it,” she shared.

Shawn was not happy about Kaitlyn’s new relationship

Though Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth’s split was painful in the beginning, the former Bachelorette recently revealed an interesting revelation that confirmed that their relationship was bound to end.

While sitting down with E!’s LadyGang podcast earlier this month, Bristowe revealed that Booth’s confession before their breakup made her realize that it was time for them to go their separate ways.

“He didn’t know why he couldn’t love me,” Bristowe admitted. “I just think the show was too hard for someone to get over.”

Despite their relationship coming to an end, Kaitlyn Bristowe has been able to move on in her love life with Jason Tartick, who appeared on Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette.

After news of Kaitlyn and Jason’s romance started to come to light, Shawn Booth wasn’t too thrilled his ex had moved on so soon.

While on Ashley Iaconetti‘s podcast Almost Famous, Shawn revealed, “It does upset me and does make me a little angry, but it also helps me to move on knowing that maybe we weren’t right for each other and that I will find somebody down the road that also makes me happy.”

Kaitlyn and Shawn said they would remain friends

Though Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth were confident they would remain friends after their split, the former couple soon found that wasn’t going to happen.

Now that they are no longer in contact, Kaitlyn and Shawn are just focus on living their lives and working on falling in love again.

Kaitlyn is pretty close to finding her happily ever after with Jason Tartick and doesn’t have a problem gushing about him during interviews.

“He’s such a positive person and he’s just a happy go lucky, good guy, and it’s just, his energy is amazing to be around,” she shared with Us Weekly.

As for Shawn, he’s still single and open to finding someone in the near future.

Even though Kaitlyn and Shawn are no longer part of each other’s lives, we’re happy there are no hard feelings between them given their painful breakup.
