With Christmas just round the corner, many shoppers will be wanting to take advantage of the Black Friday sales.

Every year retailers around the country take part in the shopping extravaganza where prices are slashed in a bid to get people spending before the holidays.

Due to the national lockdown, Black Friday is looking very different this year.

But as well as amazing online sales, there are a couple of essential shops that are still open – not just normal supermarkets.

You may be wondering if stores like B&M, Home Bargains and Wilko are taking part in Black Friday before you head out.

Unfortunately, Home Bargains, B&M and Wilko have confirmed their stores will not be taking part in Black Friday 2020.

Home Bargains don’t usually take part in the shopping event, so this may not come as a surprise.

However, B&M did take part in Black Friday 2019 and 2018, so it isn’t clear why they haven’t slashed their prices this year.

They do still however have a host of normal offers in-store.

For example, you can snap up the Google Home Mini for £25, instead of £50.

There are also various headphones on offer, including the JBL Bluetooth Headphones for £35 instead of £60.

And there are plenty of Christmas gifts to pick up.

Wilko isn’t taking part in Black Friday either, reports Wales Online.

However, the retailer says it always offers great value products to customers.

A spokesperson told Wales Online: “Wilko has been helping families transform their homes and gardens for the last nine decades by offering great value products at great prices every day."
