  • Madeline Mai- Davies, 18, says she spent three hours covering boyfriend’s room
  • She put tinfoil on every item, including his office chair, pillows and duvet
  • Posted it to TikTok where it racked up more than 25,000 views
  • However some questioned if it was genuine, asking why he’d been out all day

A prankster who was tired of falling for her boyfriend’s practical jokes decided to trick him while he was out of the house by covering his bedroom in tinfoil.

Madeline Mai- Davies, 18, claims she spent a whole morning covering his entire bedroom in tinfoil, floor to ceiling after he went out for the day and didn’t invite her.

The waitress, from Stevenage, Hertforshire, spent three hours using 10 pack of big tin foil, worth £15, to cover every single item in her boyfriend’s room, the bed, curtains, chair, photo frames and cushions and filmed his reaction for her TikTok page.

But some have questioned the video’s authenticity, asking why her boyfriend Nick Muray was out all day despite the lockdown.

Madeline said: ‘I had seen a lot of videos and I wanted to do something wacky and fun and because of the lockdown I had lots of free time in my hands.

‘I covered everything, from lampshades to pictures, even the plug on the wall- which broke during the process.

‘I just thought it’d be really funny to get his reaction on camera.

The teenager lost her job due to coronavirus and has since built up a huge TikTok following where her and her boyfriend Nick Murray play tricks on each other.

‘He was in shock, he kept saying “What have you done to my room?”

‘It took me ages to cover everything but when we took it down, it only took three minutes.

While many found the prank hilarious, others have questioned its authenticity, asking why the couple – who refer to each other as boyfriend and girlfriend despite being engaged – don’t share a room with one another.

‘Why is he out…’ said another

‘Why’s he out in lockdown??’ wrote one fan.

‘Your boyfriend was out all day even though you’re only supposed to leave the house if it’s absolutely necessary?’ asked another.

‘Bet he helped her do it’ said one
