10 TV Shows and Movies to Help You Through This Week

This week's slate of new TV shows and movies is really robust, from the premiere of Elle Fanning's new Hulu series, The Great, to a fun cooking show starring Amy Schumer and her super-chef husband, Chris Fischer. So sit back and relax, because we have your plans for the next seven days.

Below, all the TV shows and movies to keep an eye out for this week:

Joshua Speers: His new EP, Human Now, is now available on streaming. Listen here

Delivered: If you’re unfamiliar with Into the Dark, it’s a monthly horror anthology series from Hulu. Each new movie takes a beloved holiday and subverts it with a different scary tale. Up next is Delivered, an unnerving take on Mother’s Day that “follows the story of a pregnant woman whose life is upended when she realizes someone close to her has darker plans for her and the baby.” Very Rosemary’s Baby, right? Streaming on Hulu

Pitch: In 2016, This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman released Pitch, about a talented female baseball player (Kylie Bunbury) who becomes the first woman to play on a Major League Baseball team. The series was short-lived but is now available on Hulu. And as Fogelman put it in a recent tweet, if it takes off on streaming, maybe the show will be revived. Streaming on Hulu

Amy Schumer Learns to Cook: Amy Schumer and her husband, Chris Fischer, make meals in this self-isolation culinary show. The gag? Fischer is a professional chef and Schumer is…well, not. 10 P.M. ET on Food Network

Have a Good Trip: Adventures in Psychedelics: A new documentary in which some of your favorites—from Sarah Silverman to Sting—open up about their experiences with psychedelic drugs. Streaming on Netflix

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. the Reverend: A new choose-your-own-adventure special set in the Unbreakable universe in which Kimmy is getting married but must first stop the Reverend’s evil plot. Streaming on Netflix

The Wrong Missy: David Spade stars in this new comedy from Netflix as Tim, who thinks he’s invited the woman of his dreams to a retreat in Hawaii, but it turns out he texted the wrong person with the same name…with whom he went on a disastrous blind date with months before. What could go wrong?

The Misery Index: A new season of this Jameela Jamil-hosted game show premieres tonight. 10:30 P.M. ET on TBS

The Great: Fans of The Favourite should tune into The Great, a new fictionalized series in which Elle Fanning plays Catherine the Great and Nicholas Hoult portrays Peter III of Russia. Come for the opulent costumes, but stay for the biting, slightly off-kilter humor. Simply put, The Great is, well, great.Streaming on Hulu
