ALISON Hammond revealed a worrying health scare moments before going live on This Morning today.

The 47-year-old returned to our screens alongside Dermot O'Leary, 48, to present the Easter instalment of the ITV show.

Alison welcomed all the viewers to another episode of the show and explained she was feeling under the weather.

She asked how everyone was, but Dermot replied: "I’m fine. I’m worried about you!

"Someone woke up halfway through the night, not with Loose Women knocking at their door, which normally happens… you’ve got hay fever haven’t you?"

Alison replied: "A little bit of hay fever. But obviously you get worried don't you?

"You think 'is it the big C?' but it’s not. I came in I did a test straight away, it is hay fever.

"I know the different between hay fever and feeling with the big C."

It comes after Alison revealed that she is determined to live a "fantastic life" – despite coming to the realisation that she might die "a little bit sooner" because of her weight.

The star has won a legion of fans since she first appeared on our screens, however, there are some that troll her on a daily basis about her size.

While she is planning to eat slightly healthier going forward to avoid getting knee pain, the star refuses to slim down for others.

She told The Mirror: "They do say television puts on a bit of weight though, doesn't it?

"Sometimes I look at myself and go, 'Wow, I am a big girl'. But I like taking up a bit of space.

"I take a little bit of extra space in the world and I don't think I'm hurting anyone."

Alison shot to fame when she competed in the third series of then-Channel 4 reality show Big Brother in 2002, and she went on to land a job as a reporter on This Morning in 2003.
