Avengers 4 is "more shocking" than Infinity War says Thor's Chris Hemsworth
Even after all that build up and excitement, we’re just going to say it: we’re kind of over Avengers: Infinity War – especially now that Avengers 4 speculation season has officially begun.
Yes, while fans might still be processing the events of Infinity War, the cast and crew have moved on to bigger, better and “even more shocking things” with as-yet-untitled Avengers 4.
Don’t believe us? Just ask Chris Hemsworth.
The God of Thunder himself has been speaking to Esquire about his role as Thor in the MCU, calling the experience “incredible” – and in particular its latest movie.
Revealing that the scripts for both Infinity War and Avengers 4 “blew [him] away,” Chris went on to admit that he’s really excited about the future of the MCU.
“The second [film] I’m probably even more excited about. Just for people to see,” he said. “I just think it’s another step again.
“Each step we seem to take with these films, I’ve loved the fact that there’s been growth and evolution and it continues to surprise people as opposed to sort of flatlining, which was obviously always a fear…”
Referencing the longevity of the Avengers franchise, the actor added: “[Marvel has] managed to orchestrate so many different characters but give them each their own separate shot and moments, and have it be elevated and feel fresh and unique.”
So, does keeping things fresh involve killing off some of the universe’s favourite characters? Well yes, obviously, but it seems as though Chris isn’t counting Thor of one of those.
Last month, Hemsworth hinted that Avengers 4 may not be the last we’ll see of Thor.
“We’re going to keep trying to crank them out for you if you let us,” he told fans.
