Avengers: Infinity War new footage teases a MAJOR death

Warning: This article contains potential spoilers for Avengers: Infinity War.

Avengers: Infinity War has generally been kept secret in the extensive marketing campaign, but a major death might just have been confirmed.

We knew the writers were given free rein to kill off any Marvel superhero they wanted, with everyone from Robert Downey Jr to Kevin Feige teasing that this time, there will be deaths.

And now, it seems like we might know one of the victims, so if you’re avoiding any spoilers, don’t read past the photo.

Still with us? Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

A new TV spot starts innocently enough with Doctor Strange surprising Tony Stark and Pepper Potts, asking for Tony’s help, before we cut to Thor hanging out with the Guardians of the Galaxy.

“You sure you’re up to this?,” Rocket asks Thor, who ominously replies: “What more could I lose?”

He might just generally be referring to the entire destruction of Asgard at the end of Thor: Ragnarok, but we’re now worried that he’s referring to the death of Loki, likely at the hands of Thanos.

It’s complete guesswork on our part, yet one thing that potentially backs up our worrying theory is that last year, Feige was teasing that it wouldn’t take long for Marvel fans for realise “why Thanos is the biggest and baddest villain”.

And since we know at the end of Thor: Ragnarok that Thor and Loki are about to come face-to-face with Thanos, we feel we have every right to be concerned.

Avengers: Infinity War will be released on April 26 in the UK and April 27 in the US. Book tickets now.
