Does Avengers: Infinity War reveal Avengers 4's title?

Ever since they stopped calling it Avengers: Infinity War – Part 2 the untitled Avengers film – aka Avengers 4 – has haunted our nightmares. What are they going to call it? And how spoilery could its final title possibly be?

Number three, Avengers: Infinity War, is out this week, so the big question is: will the movie finally reveal its sequel’s name?

(Warning: we’ve kept Avengers: Infinity War spoilers to an absolute minimum, but this is your last chance to turn back)

Infinity War directors Anthony and Joe Russo have been saying that the reveal is still some way off… and they were apparently telling the truth.

The movie does not conclude with a surprise ‘the Avengers will return in…’ message, so the mystery of the title persists. So, in a nutshell: no, Infinity War does not reveal the title for Avengers 4.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has said that the film’s name is a spoiler – although, after the game-changing events of Infinity War, we still can’t imagine what it will be. He has also admitted that the secrecy surrounding it has “backfired”, causing more speculation about the sequel than Marvel wanted.

As for finding out the title ahead of time, don’t go badgering the cast, because even they don’t know what it is.

We’ve gone into some depth about what the title could be already, although we have to admit we’re still all at sea at this point.

Avengers: Infinity War will be released on April 26 in the UK and April 27 in the US. Book tickets now.
