Avengers: Infinity War's Mark Ruffalo reveals the telling off he got from Disney for leaking Marvel spoilers
Mark Ruffalo has spoken – again – about that Thor: Ragnarok premiere goof where he accidentally live-streamed the first 10 minutes of the Marvel movie during its LA premiere, weeks before it was actually released.
Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Avengers: Infinity War stars Scarlett Johansson, Dave Bautista, Danai Gurira, Tom Hiddleston and, of course, Ruffalo discussed which of them is the least trustworthy with spoilers.
Naturally, they all pointed to Mark, who explained: “In all fairness, it was in my pocket and they heard the first 20 minutes.
“And when I knew, first my phone was just blowing up,” he added, saying that his first thought was if his mum was alright.
Mark continued: “But I can’t check my phone in the middle of the theatre, that’s rude, especially in my own movie.
“And then someone from Disney came up and she poked me and she said, ‘TURN OFF YOUR PHONE, your phone is on, turn off your phone!!'”
Speaking about the incident previously, Mark joked: “I said I would do that, but I had never done Instagram Live so I didn’t really know how it worked, like grandpa. I went to bed a leading man and somehow woke up a grandpa.”
“I ended up shoving it in my pocket, sitting down and watching the movie. Well, it was broadcasting the movie, basically free, to millions and millions of hopefully paying viewers,” he added.
