Ayda Field says her daughter and Simon Cowell’s son are a cute kid couple
Ayda Field has said her daughter Teddy and Simon Cowell’s son Eric are ‘boyfriend and girlfriend’ – so long as Teddy keeps her nose clean.
The actress and wife to Robbie Williams interviewed Simon in his home in LA, where little Eric bashed around and interrupted so much that only he was paid attention to during the interview.
So Simon and Eric were top of the agenda for Ayda when she visited the Loose Women set, and said their families are closely connected – not least because her daughter Teddy and Eric hit it off pretty well.
Ayda told the panel: "He [Simon] is a great guy, Eric is so cute, I mean they’re so cute together it’s like big me and little me – there’s definitely a future for Eric."
When asked if her children were at the interview, she said: "My kids were not there that day but they do hang out quite a bit with Eric – it’s like The Three Musketeers between Eric, Teddy and Charlie – like three little bandits."
She said he eldest child Teddy was "a madam full stop" and joked about where she could have inherited her performance skills from.
On Eric and Teddy’s budding romance, she said: "They’re like an old married couple together, it’s very cute, they love each other then it’s like, ‘Get away!’
"Teddy had a particularly runny nose and you’ll never believe this but Eric’s quite particular.
"And Eric said, ‘I’m not gonna date you – you can’ be my girlfriend if you have a runny nose.’
"So she wiped her nose and said, ‘Yes I am!’ She was not backing down – it was like little Rob and little Simon."
The mother of two said she met Simon’s partner Lauren Silverman and Charlie at a "gymboree" class, and because they met on a personal level through their kids it means they get on even better than had they met in a professional capacity.
Loose Women airs weekdays from 12.30pm on ITV.
