Ben Shephard gives fans a rare glimpse inside his home with pic of his stunning garden in leafy west London
BEN Shephard has given fans a rare insight into his life at home as he shared a picture of his stunning garden.
The 40-year-old, who lives in leafy West London – spent his Sunday doing a spot of gardening and couldn’t resist showing off his handiwork.
Sharing a picture of himself with his lawn mower, GMB host Ben wrote: “Sunday meditation – lawn mowing, lawn lines (bit wonky) sandals and socks #happydays.”
His garden features a small lawn with full beds of plants on either side, gravel paths and a rusting looking shed.
Ben shares his home with Annie Perks, who he married in 2004, and together they have two children, sons Jack, 14 and Sam, 13.
The star was forced to spend more time than usual at home recently after he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament, torn his meniscus and fractured his leg during a football match and was forced to have surgery.
Explaining his injury, Ben said previously: "You may remember a few weeks ago I played in the cup final of the Arthur Dunn veterans' cup.
"We won the cup final, but I started with two legs and ended with one.
"Without realising, I have ruptured my ACL, torn the meniscus and fractured part of my leg as well.
"Interestingly, I didn't realise I'd done it quite so bad. I kept playing for 20 or 25 minutes before I thought, 'it feels a little bit unstable, maybe I should stop'.
"It turns out I'd severed all the nerves, which is why I couldn't feel any pain, so just sort of carried on playing."
As well as GMB, Ben is most known for his shows Tipping Point and Ninja Warrior UK.
He has also been the face of The Xtra Factor and What's Cooking.
Ben has also featured on the radio, hosting a Saturday breakfast slot on Magic 105.4 in 2006 and a Monday evening slot on Heat Radio in 2008.
