Britain’s Got Talent 2019: Tomas McCabe loses spot in show as judges ‘really messed up’?

Tomas wowed the judges and the audience with his mind-reading act as his audition was aired on ITV2’s Britain’s Got More Talent.

Following the Britain’s Got Talent hopeful’s impressive display, Amanda Holden, Simon Cowell, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon all voted for him to move on to the next round.

But he has not made it through to the semi-finals, reports the Daily Star.

An insider told the publication: “Tomas auditioned for the show and seriously impressed the judges.

“Not only did he get four yes votes, but he even gave Simon the teddy to give to his son Eric.

“Everything seemed to have gone perfectly, he was even number one on the BGT app over the weekend. Britain’s Got More Talent uploaded the clip to YouTube and it blew up on social media.”

The source added: “Normally auditions online get about 100,000 views but after 24 hours Tomas’ had half a million.

“Judging by the reaction from fans of the show they have really messed up by not putting Tomas through.”

Although some acts may receive a yes from all four judges, it doesn’t mean they are guaranteed a spot in the semi-finals when it comes to whittling down the contestants for the live shows. has contacted a representative of the show for comment.

Tomas’ act saw him invite presenters Ant and Dec onto the stage where he asked them to pick a random gift through a set of cards where they went for a blue car.

The mentalist then revealed a present that had been on the stage already, a red teddy bear.

While it may have looked as though a mistake had been made in the performance, Tomas invited Amanda to press the toy’s hand which prompted her to look up.

A poster of a blue car appeared, much to the the delight of those watching.

Meanwhile, Amanda picked her Golden Buzzer act in the latest instalment of the competition.

Amanda was the last to make her selection as all the judges and Ant and Dec have selected theirs in previous weeks.

It went to teen boyband Chapter 13 after she was dazzled by their performance.

She declared: “I just know you’re going to win the whole show.”

Golden Buzzer acts make it straight through to the semi-finals without having to go through the selection process.
