Britney Spears fans call for Kim Kardashian to FREE her from conservatorship as lawyer-to-be gets felons out of prison
BRITNEY Spears fans are calling upon Kim Kardashian to help free her from her conservatorship.
After a new documentary on the ups and downs of the 39-year-old singer’s life was released last week, many have ramped up their efforts in the #FreeBritney movement, and they want Kim to help.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, 40, has been working on becoming a lawyer for several years now and has been focused on helping free those who should be freed from their prison sentences.
Kim, along with her lawyer Brittney K. Barnett, has already helped bring national attention to multiple cases and gotten prison sentences changed for them.
Though Britney isn’t in prison, many aspects of her life are being controlled by her conservator, her dad Jamie Spears, and fans want her freed from that.
In the new doc Framing Britney Spears, the mom of two's personal life was chronicled from when she first got into the entertainment business to years later, including the start of her conservatorship in the mid-2000s.
The case is being looked at again, and Britney and her family have been back in court arguing over it for the last few months.
With a judge taking another look at it all, fans think it’s the perfect time for someone else to swoop in to help, with one asking: “Can we get @KimKardashian on the @britneyspears case FOR REAL #FreeBritney”
Another told Kim to stop focusing on her reported impending divorce from husband Kanye West and “focus her legal energy on freeing Britney.”
A third wrote: “Honestly how has @KimKardashian not made it her life’s goal to free Britney? That’s such a perfect match.
"Take that newfound legal passion, combine it with her high profile celeb status and set free another high profile celeb?
"That combo would break the entertainment world”
Others put even more faith in Kim’s skills and said “if anyone can save Britney it’s @KimKardashian tbh.”
Though Kim hasn't mentioned anything recently about the #FreeBritney movement or the new doc, the Toxic singer has received an outpouring of support from other celebrities, including Kim's sister Khloe.
The 36-year-old wrote on Instagram that she was “praying for queen Britney" and called the whole circumstance “so so so sad.”
Britney is now reportedly working on her own documentary to tell her story through her own words.
She's "quietly" collaborating with a "top female director" to create her own film, according to Page Six.
The singer fears that "under her current conservatorship, her father could take control of the film to paint himself in a better light," the outlet alleged.
A source also told the site that Britney feels "emotional" after watching the new doc and is "hopeful" that she'll "finally be freed" from the conservatorship.
The star's conservatorship was implemented in 2008 after she had a series of mental breakdowns, during which she shaved her head and attacked photographers.
The arrangement put her financial assets, estate, and personal assets under the control of Jamie and lawyer Andrew Wallet, who has since resigned.
Britney's boyfriend Sam Asghari slammed the entertainer's father, Jamie, and accused him of trying to "control" their romance.
