Casualty boss warns Faith, Lev and Dylan love triangle will take shocking twist after months of denial
CASUALTY boss Loretta Preece has warned that Faith, Lev and Dylan's love triangle will take a shocking twist after months of denial.
The producer, who has worked on the likes of other BBC shows such as Doctors and The Coroner, has lifted the lid on what viewers can expect from the medical drama in the new year.
Just like every other TV programme, this year Casualty was badly affected by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
After running out of episodes in August, the BBC One soap came off air, but last week it was confirmed that it will be back on our screens early next year.
Many fans are dying to know what's going to happen next between Faith, Lev and Dylan, and Loretta has commented on what's in store for them in 2021.
She recently told Digital Spy: "Faith didn't believe Dylan when he told her that he saw her husband kissing a man but when we see her again, she's had some time to dwell on that and to wonder why Dylan would say such a thing.
"Lev is on a journey in the new series but so are Faith and consequently Dylan. There are lots of twists in this story to come."
Before the show went off air in the summer, fans will remember that Dylan told Faith that he had seen her husband Lev cheating on her with another man.
However, Faith decided to completely ignore everything that Lev had told her and carry on as normal.
There are plenty of other exciting things due to happen in the new year as the show makes an epic return.
Viewers can expect a guest appearance from comedian Rosie Jones, the return of paramedic Ian Dean and even some new faces in town such as newbie Leon Cook.
Loretta has also explained that viewers will be able to take a breather from everything Covid-19 related after the first episode on 2 January 2021.
The producer explained: "Casualty also offers the audience a slice of Saturday night escapism.
"After that impactful first episode, we mostly look away from COVID."
