Cat Deeley 'in talks to present brand new big-money ITV gameshow'

Cat Deeley is in talks with ITV to host a brand new ‘big-money’ gameshow.

The presenter has reportedly already filmed a pilot episode for the potential series, which is said to be for a family-friendly programme headed for a Saturday night prime-time slot.

‘Cat is a huge name and found fame on ITV so to welcome her back would be a real coup for the channel,’ an insider said.

‘She was approached to front a new gameshow. It’s a big-money game and is a totally new concept that’s not been seen before.

‘Cat filmed the pilot on Saturday and it was a really successful day.’

The source continued to The Sun: ‘If the pilot is given the green light, the dream is to get Cat signed up as the host and launch it as a series.’

The news comes just one month after it was confirmed that Cat will be getting back together with Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly for a one-off SMTV Live reunion.

Ant and Dec announced the special as part of their 30th anniversary of being in showbiz.

‘There’s definitely an SM:TV reunion,’ Dec said on Zoe Ball’s BBC Radio 2 breakfast show. ‘We’ve filmed a show looking back at the story of SM:TV and how it came about.

‘That’s going to be on later in the year. We’ve recorded that already.’

SM:TV Live launched in 1998 and was hosted by Ant, Dec and Cat until 2001.
