Chip and Joanna Gaines' Best Family Photos on Instagram – The Cheat Sheet
Even though Fixer Upper has ended, we still have ways of keeping up with our favorite HGTV couple. Chip and Joanna Gaines, through their Magnolia Journal, Behind the Design, and, of course, on social media.
For years the pair has been giving us design goals, relationship goals, and family goals via their Instagram posts. So we decided to take a look back at some of the Gaines’ best photos with their adorable children.
They’re a superhero family

If you thought the Gaineses were superheroes, you might be right. In 2016, Joanna posted this photo of Chip, Drake, Ella, Duke, and Emmie in their favorite action hero masks with the caption, “The best birthday surprise was waking up to the most amazing bkfst [sic] and a room full of all my favorite superheroes.”

They get lots of tooth fairy visits

We all remember when we had a pesky loose tooth that we just couldn’t get out, and since we wanted a visit from the tooth fairy that night, we would ask our parents to help us remove it.
Chip and Joanna have mastered this task, as seen in this pic of Chip working on freeing Emmie’s loose tooth. “Emmie loves when he makes her wiggly tooth even wigglier. I love how tough she is and that she trusts her dad even though losing a tooth can be a bit scary. #toothfairyneedstoruntotheatm #thatsmilethough,” Joanna wrote alongside the shot.

Their kids like helping design stuff

The Gaines children like to assist their parents with their work sometimes. In 2017, Joanna posted this picture of her daughter helping her decorate and said she was her “special design assistant.”
Chip has also put up pics of the kids helping do demo work with him from time to time.

They’re just like us

Playing games and lying around in our pajamas after spending all morning opening presents is the way many of us start our Christmas, and the Gaineses are no different.
In 2015, Joanna shared a photo of her husband and little ones gathered around in their PJs for a game of Jenga. “May your day be Merry and Bright! #merrychristmas,” she captioned the holiday morning photo.

Like many other families, the Gaineses love going on camping trips and making s’mores with their children. In 2016, Chip posted up this picture of him and his family doing just that with the caption, “It just doesn’t get better than this for me.. No place on earth I’d rather be.”

Looking at this makes us say “Aww!” In 2017, Joanna shared this super sweet moment when she got a special hug from Emmie writing, “I dreamed I was being attacked by a sweet smelling koala bear and then I woke up… #phew #emmielou#illtakethisalldayeveryday.”

Of course, we just couldn’t leave out this picture of an actual photo shoot the family did in 2016. The Gaineses looked amazing, all decked out in dresses and suits for a Thanksgiving Day feast.
“We got all Fixed Up to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving! Lots of love from our family to yours,” Joanna wrote.
Now that’s what we call a family photo!
