Coronation Street fans will recognise Zeedans wife star from BBCs Line Of Duty

Coronation Street viewers will witness the arrival of Zeedan Nazir's estranged wife Marrium in upcoming scenes.

Actress Kiran Landa, who plays the new arrival, is the latest newbie to join the long-running ITV soap – but she's definitely not a newbie to television.

Line of Duty fans will recognise Kiran from playing Leila Bains in the award-winning BBC cop drama.

Leila was married to PC Hari Bains, a firearms officer in the show, and was pregnant with the couple's second child when first introduced on the programme.

Marrium will undoubtedly be stirring up trouble for Zeedan, played by Kasim Akhtar, as she arrives in Weatherfield ready to dish the dirt and expose all his home truths.

Kiran famously played Leila in the third series of Line of Duty where she was introduced as PC Hari Bain's wife, carrying his second child in the episode 'Monsters'.

The actress has also featured in other dramas and shows such as Channel 4's Ackley Bridge, Hollyoaks, Doctors and 4'O clock show.

In Weatherfield, As Zeedan sets out to redecorate the family restaurant, his world continues to be rocked as Marium's sudden arrival in Weatherfield leaves things shakey.

Ready to expose the truth, Zeedan revealed that he separated from his wife Marium after marrying her months before – in which he later admits to cheating on his wife, thinking their marriage was over.

With his troublemaker ways continuing, Marium's arrival will continue to make Zeedan accountable for his actions.

Marium's father, Hashim, threatened Zeedan to break the marriage off with his daughter, leaving Zeedan in a frantic state of chaos and continuing in his troublemaker ways.

However, Corrie fans were left gobsmacked during Friday's episode as the soap aired a twist in Zeedan's money laundering storyline.

Hashim previously forced Zeedan into letting him burn down Speed Daal in order to claim on the insurance, nearly leading to the death of homeless man Stu.

Although they previously told the police it was a chip fryer-related accident.

The authorities later told the pair they believed it may have been arson, and ask to see the accounts.

Hashim turned up at Yasmeen's home and threatened Zeedan and his sister Alya Nazir (Sair Khan), but started to suffer from a heart attack.

As Zeedan went to call for an ambulance, Alya stopped him and told him that if Hashim died, so did all their problems.

She quickly changed her mind and called an ambulance as Ryan Connor arrived and tried to administer CPR. Before the ambulance arrived, however, Ryan stated that Hashim had died.

They made sure to get his fingerprints on the Speed Daal keys and put them in his car, kick their own back door in, and agree to tell the police that Hashim had been threatening them, and set fire to Speed Daal in an attempt to kill them.

Will the police believe their story?
