Although Eva makes an abrupt departure from Weatherfield this Friday, without saying goodbye to any of her family, she reappears for the inquest the following week.
Eva’s return – her last appearance before leaving the show for good – sees her give evidence about Aidan’s final movements before his death. But will the inquest help to give Aidan’s family the closure they need?
Official spoilers on Coronation Street‘s website confirmed: “It’s the day of Aidan’s inquest and the Connors are worried that Eva won’t show up. They’re relieved when she shows up last minute with Adam and Susie.
“Following the inquest, Eva and Kate say an emotional goodbye to each other, united by their love for Aidan. But how will Johnny react when he hears of Eva’s plans for the future?”
Corrie filmed the inquest scenes on location at Rochdale Town Hall last month, with Samuel Robertson (Adam Barlow), Georgia Taylor (Toyah Battersby) and Jane Danson (Leanne Battersby) also in attendance.
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Friday, August 3 at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
