Coronation Street spoilers: Faye Windass discovers she’s ‘pregnant’ with Ray Crosby’s baby
Coronation Street: Faye Windass confesses to hitting Adam
Faye (played by Ellie Leach) has had a turbulent few weeks on Coronation Street as not only was she sexually assaulted by Ray (Mark Frost) but she also attacked Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson), believing he was the villain. Trying desperately to hide her dark secret and with brother Gary Windass (Mikey North) currently in the frame for attempted murder, the youngster has had a lot to think about over Christmas. However, with the New Year in full swing, it seems she is about to discover she could be expecting a baby for a second time on the ITV soap.
The drama kicks off next week when Faye suddenly becomes panicked and tells her father Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) she is going to spend the night with sister-in-law, Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon).
Once with her brother’s wife, the youngster reveals she might be pregnant with Ray’s child as he was the last man she slept with.
When Sally Metcalfe’s (Sally Dynevor) husband becomes worried about his daughter, he heads over to see if she is ok.
Much to his horror, he walks into the flat and sees a pregnancy test on the table, leading him to interrogate Faye.
Realising she can’t hide her secret for much longer, the teenager confesses to her father the villain tried to rape her.

After his daughter’s courage to speak out about her ordeal, Tim is furious and begins his search to track down Ray.
However, his efforts prove fruitless and instead, he pays a visit to Gary in prison to tell him he knows everything.
With Faye possibly pregnant and with a whole life ahead of her, the dodgy dealer tells Tim they need to stay quiet for the teenager’s sake.
As his father Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew) was never charged for his crimes, will the teenager’s father make sure the villain is banged up behind bars?
Ray gets more desperate to get off the hook
Speaking with Express.co.uk and other publications, executive producer Iain MacLeod teased the future for the storyline.
“What will then ensue is a story where this kind of troubled young girl who has been subjected to a terrible ordeal by Ray finds herself in this really conflicted situation where she knows she’s done something terrible and feels an enormous amount of guilt.
“[Her loved ones will] set in train a sequence of events where they try and protect her from the scales of justice and keep her away from the police and keep her away from court.”
With regards to Ray, the soap boss said: “He gets more and more desperate to get off the hook for what happened with Faye, as in a sexual assault.”

As the youngster’s family are trying to keep her out of jail and the suggestion Ray will struggle to hide the fact he is a sexual predator, does this hint the teenager is pregnant?
The fact Faye could possibly be carrying the villain’s child would provide evidence the former waitress was coerced into having sex with her boss.
With Gary also walking in on the businessman about to rape his sister, his eye witness account could also hold some gravity.
Although Faye doesn’t want another child, could this be the catalyst which sees Ray leave the cobbles for good?
It’s not just Faye who thinks she is pregnant as viewers watching at home also think the youngster is set to give birth to her second child.
Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “I think Faye is pregnant and it’s going to be Ray’s,” with a second adding: “Really hope Faye isn’t pregnant again #Corrie.”
Whilst a third commented: “Faye gonna be pregnant. No doubt #Corrie,” a fourth remarked: “Oh my God, Faye pregnant by Ray.”
Coronation Street continues tonight at 7:30pm on ITV.
