Coronation Street spoilers: Tim Metcalfe's affair with sister in law Gina confirmed as he's arrested for drink-driving with her in the car
The window cleaner and taxi triver – who's played by Joe Duttine in the ITV soap – is stopped by police when he comes to Gina's aid in his cab.
Tim ends up getting breathalysed after Gina calls him in a panic and begs him to come and rescue her.
He drives to meet Gina for their secret rendezvous, but is tailed by the police after they spot him driving erratically.
Tim is pulled over and forced to blow into the bag, and is found to be over the drink drive limit.
Although Gina tries to explain to the police that he was only on the road because she was in distress and needed help, they're having none of it – and take him down the station. Could this cause their affair to come to light?
Gina has been developing feelings for Tim ever since she was dumped by kebab king Dev Alahan recently.
Following her split from Dev, Gina moved in with sister Sally and her husband Tim, and was impressed when Tim revealed he’d had words with Dev about his treatment of her.
Gina has been secretly pining for Tim since then and many fans of the ITV soap believe they will end up having an affair.
Sally and Tim’s marriage has hit a rocky spot following Sally being accused of fraud by Duncan Radfield, who also claims they had a steamy affair.
Gina and Tim even ended up on a date together recently – after Sally decided to set them up.
Sally thought that Gina has developed feelings for her ex-husband Kevin Webster and was determined to stop them getting together.
She tried – and failed – to set Kevin up with her solicitor Paula Cunliffe, unaware that Paula has set her sights on daughter Sophie.
After Kevin offered to take Gina to the match, Sally stepped in and told him he couldn't because she had organised him a date with Paula. She then decided that Tim would have to take Gina to the match instead, a result Gina was very happy with.
