Coronation Street’s Sarah Platt and Gary Windass get back together after Nicola Rubinstein leaves Weatherfield

GARY Windass is back together with Sarah Platt in Coronation Street.

The builder – who is played by actor Mikey North in the ITV soap – said goodbye to pregnant Nicola Rubinstein as she headed to Leeds after Pat Phelan caught onto their plot to expose his many crimes.

Arriving at Sarah’s house to apologise again for cheating on her, he took an I’m Sorry balloon for baby Harry too.

“I’m sorry mate, I’ve not been around enough, have I? I know a poxy balloon doesn’t exactly make up for it but I know I’m an idiot,” he told the baby.

The touching scene seemed to spark something in Sarah and she decided to forgive him. Again.

“I just don’t want life to be complicated anymore,” he then told Sarah.

“And it’s not because Nicola’s gone but it has given me some sort of perspective.

“After the Ukraine and my mum and all this other stuff, my head’s just been all over the place.

“I need my life to get back to normal but I don’t think I can do that, not without you,” he said.

Sarah then surprised him by revealing she was still wearing the ring he bought her, albeit around her neck.
