Corrie’s Will Mellor proud as niece joins Hollyoaks cast as Theresa’s daughter

Coronation Street’s Will Mellor exploded with joy on Instagram after his niece, Kiara made her debut on Hollyoaks as Theresa McQueen’s daughter.

Will got his first start in acting on Hollyoaks, appearing as the character Jambo in 1995.

Niece Kiara is now following in her uncle’s footsteps as she joins the cast of the show.

Unable to contain his pride, Will posted a photo of his niece on the set of the show and called back to where his career started.

He captioned: “So proud of my little niece Kiara! On Hollyoaks where it all began for me!”

Kiara’s mother Gemma also posted to celebrate.

She wrote: “Tonight my daughter made her first appearance on Hollyoaks as Kathleen Angel McQueen.

“Bursting with pride! Words can’t express!”

Will’s career following Hollyoaks saw him starring in the hit comedy Two Pints of Larger and a Packet of Crisp.

He would go on to get roles in a number of high profile productions such as the crime drama Unforgiven, police corruption series Line of Duty and small town murder show, Broadchurch.
