Dancing On Ice stars are reportedly embroiled in a behind-the-scenes row over certain celebrities being allocated easier routines.

It's alleged that rivals feel Colin Jackson, Faye Brookes and Jason Donovan had the upper hand in their recent performances as they had prior experience in the specific styles they skated to on Sunday evening.

Ex Olympian Colin, 53, and professional Klabera Komini did the samba to Bamboleo by Gipsy Kings – a style of dance he previously performed on BBC show Strictly Come Dancing back in 2005.

Former Coronation Street's Faye did a rendition of a ballet dance on the ice with her partner Hamish Gaman to Swan Lake by Tchaikovsky. However, the 33 year old had previously received formal training for ballet, which could have helped in her performance.

Meanwhile Neighbours actor Jason, 52, and his partner Alexandra Schauman skated a tango to Here Comes The Rain Again by Eurythmics, despite the fact that he previously performed a tango on Strictly Come Dancing – where he received a perfect score of 40 points in 2011.

A show source told The Sun Online: "The trio seem to have a huge advantage going into this week.

“It’s not gone unnoticed by some of the celebrities and their partners and people have been discussing whether they’ve been given favourable treatment."

They added: “Skating is a hard thing to learn, but nailing a performance is made much easier if you’ve had a load of prior training in advance.”

The TV competition hasn't had an easy time putting on a show each week as Denise Van Outen quit following an injury, and Rufus Hound was axed.

Most recently, The Mummy Diaries star Billie Faiers, 31, was forced to quit after suffering a horrific injury during rehearsals on Friday, 5 February.

An ITV spokesperson shared the news as they said: “During rehearsals for this week's show, Billie Shepherd has had a fall.

“Taking the expert advice of the Dancing On Ice medical team, she sadly cannot perform this weekend and will therefore now withdraw from the competition. We wish Billie well as she now takes the time to rest and recover.”

Following the announcement, Billie spoke out as she shared a photo of herself and her skating partner Matt, 35, in stunning blue costumes during their dress rehearsal for Sunday’s show on her Instagram page.

She told her 2.3million followers in the caption: “Our first and last dance” followed by a broken heart and ice skate emoji.

Billie continued: “I am so so sad that our @dancingonice journey has come to an end after an accident in rehearsals on Friday causing me a head injury, forcing us out of the competition,” followed by a sad face emoji.
