DANCING on Ice star Colin Jackson wants to RETURN to the show after it was plagued with injury and covid drama.

The Olympic  champ reached the finals of the perilous 'unlucky 13th' season earlier this year, and would love another stab at winning the show.

Colin, who at 54 was the season's oldest contestant, wants to be in next year's line-up after revealing he has fully recovered from bruises and chronic knee pain he sustained during the show.

In an exclusive chat with The Sun, Colin, who was a team leader at RunFestRun on the weekend, said: "I'd would do it again. 100 per cent. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Now the learning process is done, it would be just the fun, and I'd bring some elegance and cheeky charm to it.

I loved every minute of it, I never laughed so much with my partner Klabera, she was brilliant. "

Colin has revealed he has recovered from his own injuries during the season, dubbed 'unlucky 13,' after a host ofstars had nasty falls or covid related drop-outs.

He said: "I'm recovered now. My body is back to normal, and I'm having a blast at RunFestRun. Just seeing everyone happy again, enjoying a run, and great music. Chris Evans has run in every single race, he lives for it. "

During the season Denise Van Outen was forced to pull out with an horrific shoulder injury, while Jason Donovan had to quit after a back injury.

Billie Faiers banged her head on the ice and got concussion, while Myleene Klasssuffered from a torn ligament and a broken toe.

Pro-skater Hamish Gaman  snapped a tendon in his hand, and pro-skater Yebin Moksuffered a stab wound from a skate blade that ‘exposed her tendons.'

The Sun revealed the show bosses were forced to end the series early after the spate of injuries and covid dropouts.

Welsh TV pundit Colin, who represented Great Britain and Wales as a sprint and hurdling athlete, came third in the Dancing on Ice finals.

He was up against Corrie's Faye Brookes who came second, while Capital FM DJ Sonny Jay was crowned the winner.
