Dawn French reveals very awkward moment with Prince Charles and offers to replace Victoria Beckham for Spice Girls tour

In the same hilarious interview, the actress also offered herself as a replacement for Victoria Beckham in the Spice Girls reunion Tour.

Speaking to Best magazine, Dawn revealed her awkward moment with Prince Charles was at the premiere for The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe in 2005.

Dawn did the voice of Mrs Beaver in the film.

She said: "Prince Charles was there with the good lady Camilla.

"I couldn't resist it and said: "Did you enjoy my beaver?""

She continued: "Thankfully, he has a sense of humour – he laughed!"

Dawn also said she'd be up for replacing Victoria Beckham, aka Posh Spice if she decides to drop out of the Spice Girls reunion tour.

The 60-year-old played her in the spoof 1997 Comic Relief version of the band's hit Who Do You Think You Are?

"When I played her I went up to her and said: "It must be like looking in a mirror, Victoria!"

"But I have to tell you, that is one funny girl, with a great sense of humour."

The actress also spoke of her sadness over her Vicar Of Dibley co-star Emma Chambers' death earlier this year.

"Emma was incredible," she said.

"I'll miss her very much. Gone too soon."
