Dec shock fav to win BGT after revealing hidden talent in ‘phenomenal’ opening

Dec Donnelly has become a shock favourite to win Britain’s Got Talent.

Viewers want to vote for the solo presenter to win the talent show after watching his "absolutely phenomenal" opening.

Dec has been forced to present on his own for the first time this year after Ant McPartlin stood down from all his TV commitments.

He has risen to the challenge and proved himself to be not only a sensational presenter , but a worthy entertainer.

Dec really shone tonight with his incredible opening routine, while revealing another hidden talent.

Father-and-son duo Tim and Jack opened the doors to let Dec into the studio.

He saluted the D-Day Darlings, did a handshake with Calum Courtney and danced with DVJ.

Dec then high-fived some of the contestants in the judges seats then shimmied with flamenco dancers.

The presenter then showed off his gymnastic skills by doing a handstand on the steps to the stage.

He then flipped a top hat onto his head and joined arms with the dancers on stage.

After finishing the routine to a standing ovation, he said: "Wow hello and welcome to the final of Britain’s Got Talent 2018. What an audience."

BGT viewers took to Twitter to praise Dec for his sensational opening number.

One viewer said: "How do we vote for Dec’s opening routine? I don’t think that can be topped."

Another added: "Wow, Dec @antanddec is absolutely phenomenal at #BGT opening. He can do anything!"

A third agreed: "I have to say, even though I’ve enjoyed a lot of good acts on this, the best thing I’ve watch all week, is dec, his presenting has been brilliant, he looks so much more relaxed and confident! I wanna vote for him!!"
