Strictly Come Dancing 2021 launched in style on Saturday night with each celebrity’s professional dance partner being revealed. The star studded dance competition is back on BBC One with a brand new line-up of famous faces showing off their moves. However, things went awry when former EastEnders actress Nina Wadia found out what dance she would be performing next week. After discovering she’d be attempting the Samba, Nina jokingly threatened to quit the show.
During Saturday night’s show it was revealed the soap star would be dancing with Strictly pro Neil Jones.
However, when Neil revealed they’d be performing the Samba next week, Nadia looked taken aback.
“Oh my goodness!” Nadia exclaimed, laughing nervously.
As a groan was heard from the audience, Claudia quickly said: “No, why is everyone sad? The Samba is fantastic.”
“It’s hard isn’t it?” Nadia remarked, but Claudia replied: “No, you’re going to be fantastic. Neil give us the characteristics.”
Neil enthusiastically said: “I’m going to say it’s going to be sexy, sassy, and very steamy.”
“Okay, see you later. Bye,” Nina said as she pretended to walk off the show.
“No, no, no! Don’t you dare, Nina,” Claudia exclaimed, ushering the actress back to her seat.
“So, you can find a character for the Samba,” the presenter said encouragingly.
“Yes, I’ll have to bring out my Sasha Fierce I reckon,” Nina replied.
More to come…
