EastEnders fans all say the same thing as Dennis Rickman star Nigel Harman appears 17yrs later

EASTENDERS fans gushed over former Dennis Rickman star, Nigel Harman, after seeing him on the telly 17 years after he rose to fame.

Nigel shocked fans when he appeared on Loose Women with many commenting on his youthful appearance.

The 48-year-old joined Ruth Langsford, Coleen Nolan, Kelle Bryan and Jane Moore to promote his role in the West End adaptation of the DaVinci Code.

He played Dennis on the BBC soap for two years but was killed off on New Year’s Eve in 2005 when he was stabbed to death.

The actor, who has since appeared in Downton Abbey appeared to have barely aged since his iconic stint on Albert Square.

"Nigel Harman has not aged a day. I remember the Dennis days so well. That was Eastenders at its best," one fan wrote on Twitter.

Another added: "B****y hell ! Nigel hasn’t aged at all."

And a third commented: "Nigel Harman still got it!"

EastEnders fan convinced Grant Mitchell is returning after shock cameo

During his time on the soap, Nigel’s character Dennis was known for his forbidden romance with his adoptive sister Sharon (Letitia Dean).

Just before his character was killed, Sharon discovered she was pregnant with Dennis’ child – who she called Dennis in her honour.

She later went on to marry Phil Mitchell, who confessed years later to being the one who killed Dennis.

But his forbidden love seemed to have slipped the actor's mind on Loose Women today.

Ruth said to him: "The storyline was quite shocking at the time, wasn’t it? You and Sharon…"

But Nigel just looked confused before saying: "I think so, I think they worked it out that… I can’t really remember, but yes she was my adopted sister so I think legally it’s OK but we got married and all of that but – were we having a baby? Was she pregnant then?

"She had baby Dennis, I heard about that. Apparently, the other day, someone told me I have a grandson?"

Ruth then brought Nigel up to speed and he was impressed with her Eastenders knowledge.

"Look at you, you’re quite into it, aren’t you?" he told Ruth, but she quickly shot back, "you obviously don’t watch it anymore."

Nigel joked in reply: "What gives you that impression?"
